Whenever you see LPDDR(4 or 5) that means "low power" which is 99% of the time soldered ram.

I have one of these. As far as Chromebooks are concerned, it's one of the better ones you can get. High refresh rate QHD screen is great, though the screen can be a little dim at times. Pushing QHD 120hz over Steam remote play can be a big ask of your network hardware, but what's cool is you can also use the Steam for Chromebooks beta and install a bunch of games natively that run over Vulcan instead of DX. Easy way to get a fix for older games like XCom etc.

Battery life isn't awesome for a Chromebook, but given that it's a 120hz QHD screen that isn't a real surprise.

It's only a standard Type-C port, not Thunderbolt. An eGPU won't work with this, sadly.

Well, you know the internet. If I said 100% of the time, some know-it-all will come after me with the one oddball motherboard that exists capable of using slotted LPDDR memory.
Actually I recall someone saying you can un solder the chips, and replace them with a higher capacity. Then again you also need to know where to source compatible lp chips, which is outside of my knowledge - on top of soldering irons.

Can somebody tell me if this will work with a wifi printer?
I've had success using a Chromebook to print over WiFi to a brother printer. You need to check for the model of printer that you have though.

Technically possible as long as you have the skills, tools and parts. Similarly, someone has successfully upgraded the internal storage of iPad and iPhone.

This is a screaming deal for what is (imo) one of the best Chromebooks available right now. Performance is searingly fast; the 1240 CPU handles regular web browsing and YouTube without even getting out of bed (1-3% usage.)

The large, high res, high refresh screen is a breath of fresh air on a Chromebook, and the keyboard and track pad are excellent. The speakers are OK, but not extraordinary.

The experience with this device just feels fast and smooth.

If you aren't interested in a touch/stylus screen, and want a large format display, you cannot beat this model for this price. Everything is buttery smooth and it has power in gobs to spare.

I feel very confident that this model will be browsing the web and still providing a very pleasant experience years from now.

Solid model, but the fans kick on constantly... if you are used to a quiet Chromebook, this is not it. Will get updates for years, and is Chromebook Plus eligible!

Has anyone flashed this model to install and use Linux natively? If so, any guide you've used would be much appreciated!
