Whenever you see LPDDR(4 or 5) that means "low power" which is 99% of the time soldered ram.
I have one of these. As far as Chromebooks are concerned, it's one of the better ones you can get. High refresh rate QHD screen is great, though the screen can be a little dim at times. Pushing QHD 120hz over Steam remote play can be a big ask of your network hardware, but what's cool is you can also use the Steam for Chromebooks beta and install a bunch of games natively that run over Vulcan instead of DX. Easy way to get a fix for older games like XCom etc.

Battery life isn't awesome for a Chromebook, but given that it's a 120hz QHD screen that isn't a real surprise.
It's only a standard Type-C port, not Thunderbolt. An eGPU won't work with this, sadly.

I believe it's 100% of the time actually, I don't think that the trace length + connector losses allow for a socket-able lpddr module (which runs at a significantly lower voltage than sodimm modules)
There are (very rare) examples where it's lpddr5 soldered plus a spare ram slot. Very rare for windows laptops, super rare for chromebooks

Solid model, but the fans kick on constantly... if you are used to a quiet Chromebook, this is not it. Will get updates for years, and is Chromebook Plus eligible!
Thanks for sharing about the fans. Maybe it's due to driving the display?

This is a pretty awful "deal"

I would neverever ever suggest anyone buy a REFURBISHED ACER CHROMEBOOK for anywhere close to $275. Maybe $100?
Can you tell us why?

Not a complaint of your comment or this laptop, but I am always amazed by the fact that new Macbook Pro 14" and 16" have very high screen resolutions (3024x1964 and 3456x2234) with high refresh rates and yet have >10 hours of battery life. When I was looking at Windows laptops, most have 1080p/1200p screens, and if there is a higher resolution option, I see people recommending lower resolution screen for better battery life. It is not a compromise on Macbooks, however.

Does anyone know if any of the Chromebook plus software features are specific to new purchases? I think it might be a dumb question since it seems like it's just a different set of software. I just wasn't sure if anything would change with a used purchase similar to Chromebook offers that sometimes might have been claimed already.

For battery you want something like an HP 11a. Can get 15hrs doing office type work. I have the Samsung 4+ too, and battery is quite a bit lower at 8-9hrs.
I bought this Chromebook last sale and I agree with all your points. The only neg is the battery life, unsurprising.

Can somebody tell me if this will work with a wifi printer?
As long they're in the same WiFi network it shouldn't be a problem when you go to find the printer on the Chromebook
