consumer report is 99% wrong

QLED is a world of difference from LED...
its like LED, LCD, vs CRT for monitors

any Qled is better than Led
any Oled is better than Qled and better than LEd

Agree but this one is not QLED. It says QNED and I have no idea what exactly it is but it is regular LED screen per the description itself so it's neither OLED or QLED imo.

Trying to guage this TV... Alot of the reviews are from very average people.

One thing I am most concerned about is how well it handles reflections and bright rooms..

Kind of heavy (not a deal breaker)

and, it is not mini led either.

LG Electronics has announced it will not include ATSC 3.0 NextGen TV tuners in its 2024 TV lineup for the U.S. market. The decision comes after LG lost a patent infringement lawsuit earlier this year brought by Constellation Designs, LLC, over technology used in NextGen TV.

doesn't support Dolby Vision or HDR10+

this model QNED TV does not use a VA panel. LG QNED TVs combine Mini LEDs with Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies to deliver deeper blacks as well as more vibrant and vivid colors.

https://www.lg.com/us/tvs/lg-75qn...qned-4k-tv

Wish there was an rtings rating on it.

One supposed reviewer wrote:

Pros

• Design and Build Quality: The slim bezels around the screen provide an immersive edge-to-edge display, drawing you deeper into the content. The TV sits elegantly on a sturdy, center-stand, ensuring stability and reducing the chances of accidental tipping.

• Picture Quality: The standout feature of the LG QNED75 is its cutting-edge Quantum Dot NanoCell display, which delivers vivid and lifelike colors. The 4K Ultra HD resolution coupled with Full Array Local Dimming (FALD) technology ensures deeper blacks and improved contrast, resulting in stunning visuals with remarkable clarity (not as black as G3 or C3 OLEDs, but quite close). Supports multiple HDR formats, including Dolby Vision, HDR10, and HLG, bringing out every detail in both bright and dark scenes.

• The combination of Quantum Dot and Mini-LED technologies creates a remarkable balance between brightness and black levels, making this TV an excellent choice for watching movies, gaming, or even casual TV viewing.

• Audio Performance: Equipped with a powerful 2.2-channel speaker system, it delivers rich, immersive audio. While the built-in speakers are impressive, dedicated audiophiles might still prefer to complement the TV with an external sound system for a truly cinematic experience.

Cons

• Blooming and Halo Effect: Despite the full-array local dimming, we saw some blooming and halo effects around bright objects on a dark background.

• Limited OLED Competitor: As an LCD-based TV, the LG QNED75 may not match the true black levels and pixel-level control that OLED TVs offer. While the Quantum Dot and NanoCell technologies improve color accuracy and contrast, OLED panels still reign supreme in terms of delivering absolute black levels.

• Reflections and Glare: Like many LCD-based TVs, the LG QNED75 can be susceptible to reflections and glare in brightly lit rooms or when placed in positions where light sources directly hit the screen. This might require some careful placement or adjustments to the room's lighting to optimize the viewing experience.

Reflections and glare are a deal breaker for me (can even see that with the reviews with pics).. The Hisense U7 hits everywhere this TV falls short.

QNED is LG's version of QLED

https://history-computer.com/qned...better-tv/

i'd consider them the same...

Seems like you don't like this LG TV.

Do you have any thoughts comparing these 2 TV's from Costco? Not individual TV characteristics but only when compared with each other, which TV is better of the 2? Or is it potato/patato?

Trying to figure out which one of these Costco TV's is better.

Pulled the trigger because I really need a new TV. 3yr old went to town on my X85J that I had less than 2 yrs 😭 and have been using a 40in I had in the garage.

FYI, seems like this has 120hrz on two HDMI for gaming. Hoping for the best!

I know the feeling. My then 2 year old took out my 65 inch p series Vizio about a year and a half ago. I had it for only a month. I couldn't stomach spending another 700 so soon so I got a cheapo 65 inch sharp from Best buy for 300. I'm used to it now but I kinda hope to upgrade again eventually.

I ended ordering the tv...

Went into Bestbuy later to see the actual tv and it's not bad at all. Obviously, the Oled tvs were far superior, however, for my budget I think it was sufficient for me.

I was hesitant, but I went ahead and pulled the trigger on this one.

We don't watch much TV, but the 50" ONN Roku TV is far too small from 12' away. Remodeled the den, and have a new 84" TV stand waiting for the new TV.

Total with 4 year Allstate warranty, tax, delivered $750.17

I normally do not buy warranties, but for just about any TV these days, it is probably worth it, unless you guys can convince me that the Allstate warranty is a waste of time and money (run around / ripoff), then i will self insure.

Here is a general overview

I have this TV in a 65". I went into Costco & BB for a Samsung, I was looking for a Sony replacement(I prefer my Sony but they don't have anything I want in the price range). Went to Costco and they had the Samsung CU7000 and the LG UR8000 next to each other. I preferred the look of the LG but decided I wanted to go to Best Buy just in case. At BB they had a similar LG LED I was interested in and this QNED side by side and this QNED blew it a way. That's how I ended up with the 65" QNED.

I'm a basic entertainment guy. I watch sports most frequently 1-2x per week, watch shows maybe 1x per week and video games every few months. I'm happy with it and I'm going to order the 75" for a back room.
