Didn't see this posted, so I thought I would share. Verizon based MVNO.
1GB with unlimited talk and text for $10 a month. After 1GB, speeds are slowed to 5mbps which is still usable for most tasks and enough to stream 720p video.

I figured I'd bump this thread since other $5-6/mo phone plans are getting posted and this one is, IMO, the best deal if you want/need Verizon as your carrier, plus it also offers the unlimited 5/2 speeds after the 1gb, which is much faster than the other plans.
Someone on reddit said their mom's plan was "she paid a total of $32.78 ($10 + $20 Activation + Taxes) but recently when we got the monthly bill for line, we paid $10.34 in total for March."
The only other downside is the DL/ID requirement which is odd. Hopefully US Mobile comes out with a plan similar to this in the future.

CEO mentioned the license requirement is to prevent fraud for consumer protection. I will say it's a bit odd for a prepaid carrier but having to verify identity to make changes also makes sense. Helium makes me do 2FA anytime I need support. Even for simple things. If it makes the account more secure, I'm for it. Of course it's harder to sign up for burner accounts if that's your thing.
wondering if anyone else has feedback. we only got input from one user and it's been good but hoping to get more data to draw a conclusion. very tempted to try this out myself, but I have no use for it at the moment.
well this might be the service i switch to once my free spectrum year is up
How is the spectrum service? I just got a free year offer and will probably take advantage if it's still around when my mint service is up for renewal next month.
I will admit the site is a bit jank. But there's plenty of threads about this carrier on Reddit. That's where I read about this plan. They also have customer support reachable by phone. If I wasn't on Helium, I would definitely give this carrier a try. This plan is unique at this price point and could be perfectly usable for light or heavy data users too. Nearly every other carrier at this price has very slow data, or none at all after the allotment is done.
The phone contact is dead.

I don't believe this is a good deal. They are charging $10 plus a $20 activation fee for only 1GB of high-speed data. Other MVNOs like Red Pocket, InfiMobile, and Mint Mobile are offering less than $10 for 10GB of high-speed data, sometimes even unlimited data.
I'd rather have faster slow data, than more high speed data if that makes sense. I've gotten to throttled speeds on mint and redpocket before and I can tell you they're not really usable. It's a speed vs consistency argument. I'll take consistency, personally.
Regarding other MVNOs, you're comparing promos to non promo pricing. I'm a bigger fan of set it and forget it, rather than hopping around to get the best deal. Generally I don't leave a carrier unless the hike the price or significantly change the plan. I think at $10 it's unmatched. Promos you may be able to beat the price, but after 3, 6 or even 12 months you'll have to switch again to stay ahead.

Yep and reputable companies not no-name shilled ones like Lexvor.

I hope you're not referring to me, because I don't shill for anyone. I'm just here for the best deals. and I haven't found one that beats this consistently
Deal is dead. Anyone who has this plan is grandfathered at the $10 rate. New rate $8 but there's $4 in taxes and fees. I believe this might be pretty close to what it was before, but still a little higher
