I love this thing -- it's my primary keyboard, have it in both Fami and N editions -- but man, it is loud, even by clicky keyboard standards. YMMV on that.

The lack of media keys is an issue, too, though I like the volume control knob and I've mapped previous/next to the keyboard B/A buttons and pause/mute to the fun giant B/A buttons, which is good enough for me. The software doesn't work on Macs, but after remapping keys/buttons on a PC the settings carried over when I plugged it back into my Mac.
N Edition is also on sale, but less than the Fami Edition ($89.99 vs $85.49).

Worth the extra four dollars to get the colors that match my childhood.
There is also an NES edition that goes on sale every now and then.

I've been daily driving this thing for the past few months and I love it. It's nice and clicky without being obnoxiously loud. Battery lasts forever and the software has been great.

I have the NES version and I do like it. My only issue is that the actuation point of the switches are a little lower (deeper) than I am used to as compared to other mechanical keyboards. I frequently miss the timing of a shift - mouseclick combination as the key is just a little late. I might look into replacement switches.

Also own the NES version and *love* the deep, clicky, tactile feel. Not as loud as Gateron Blues, but very satisfying. Between the construction, sound, and feel it reminds me of a well-made 80's mechanical keyboard, completing that retro vibe.

Would love to know if anyone has recs for a good Mac-compatible Kailh Box White keyboard — can't seem to find one, just plenty of listings for the switches themselves.

I really want a backlit version of this. Doesn't need to be RGB just some light to see in the dark.

Someone had this on display at work. The board sounds incredibly good stock. I think the price is pretty mediocre though unless you're a big fan of the design.

The Kalih Box switches are clicky which is a deal breaker for most mechanical buffs.
