This is one of the best deals on ANY MacBook Pro I've ever seen. This laptop was listed at $2K not even 6 months ago. It is $1599 on the Apple Refurb store--and this Costco deal is for a brand new one w 2/year warranty. Too bad they only seem to get this awesome on the base configs. I figure by the weekend there won't be any left. They were getting hard to find at the $1399 price they were just a week ago.

Yeah I'd say so. It's a decent price for the M1 Pro model brand new, even moreso for this one. That being said, every Costco near me is sold out and not sure how many will still have this model in stock.

I saw this when it dropped a couple days ago. I called my local Costco first thing in the morning. They still had one in silver. Of course, I had to wait until lunch break to get over and it was long gone by then. They told me none for hundreds of miles, although a few isolated space gray ones floating around.

And yes, this is one of those UNICORN deals that you will likely almost never see. This is priced BELOW what Apple will pay you on a trade-in!

None that I can find--but the local warehouse will search for you over the phone. Costco online told me that if I change my delivery zip code and there are any in stock it will show up as available to ship (on the page link). I tried that in a bunch of different zips and saw no change so I'm not recommending you spin your wheels doing it. Let us know if you find out anything as that would be super helpful.

At least I know NOW that there will be a 1-2 week period after a spec bump/model refresh that Costco will offer liquidation prices on its remaining inventory. That means get ready for the $500 M2 Macbook Airs next !

The next *best* price is Best Buy Open Box [bestbuy.com]. (scroll down to see open box prices). If there are any in your area they can be as low as $1300+, but it is OB so YMMV.

I got my M1 MacBook listed in Open Box - Fair condition and it was pristine with like 2 battery charges. A friend did Amazon Warehouse Used - Fair and theirs had 8 charges but the OS was in Spanish initially. Anyway, it was this same time of year so I think they are inundated with returns at the end of the holiday return window so its a good time to buy Open Box. You can always return it without feeling bad since its already open!
