I bought with Costco Citi card. So I have 4 years warranty (apple+ Costco + Citi) and also 120 day damage + theft protection.

Do I still need AppleCare? It as it is about $250 + $300 deductible for most repairs and so I passed on that but wonder if that was a mistake?
I hear you! I got this for my 19 yo who's in engineering school, so it's going to get beaten up for sure lol. AppleCare is great for accidental damage, so if you expect to travel and be mobile with it, I recommend it! You can go into an Apple Store with the laptop and buy it too. Not sure of it costs more though

Also, didn't Citi drop their extended coverage benefit last year?

For those of you in NJ - I called the Princeton warehouse and they told me they don't have it.

There's apparently 1 in Manahawkin, NJ, 1 in Teterboro, NJ, and 1 in New Rochelle, NY and that's it for the region. But I'd call ahead to those stores before going in.

I got this in Duncanville Costco in Dallas area.

Was tracking this but did not get idea to check other stores till I saw this post.

Drove 45 miles for this. Hope it is worth it.

Thanks OP.
Citi dropped the warranty coverage over a year ago.

Also even if Citi did still have the coverage it only doubled the original 1 year. They weren't giving you four years

Any one has any luck doing price adjustment? They told me they cant price adjust it since its not available in store. Very annoying price match policy from Costco never expected they will find way to mess with people.
They never price match clearance items, you have to return and rebuy the clearance unit at that particular store. Otherwise everyone would pay the cheapest clearance price in America lol.

Rather get an older m1 version with a faster SSD (meaning better more "ram" aka memory swapping) for the same price

Just a note, you can add a bit more storage to these by using a half length SD card microsd card adapter. Look up BaseQi. With a UHS-2 level card, you can get 200MB/read which is pretty quick. UHS-1 cards cap around 90MB read.
