I work in IT, be careful if you have a Micron drive as my company has many devices where the hard drive failed (despite the firmware upgrade). I'd recommend replacing the SSD, everything else has been solid on these models.
Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak and to remove all doubt
Latitudes and inspirons are not comparable build quality wise. These are business class laptops. Low end consumer chassis are all plastic and tend to fall apart after a few years. You are basically trading spec for build quality, different use cases.

Dell Refurbished (FedEx Recycling) does a great job refurbishing desktops. They'll even include a brand new keyboard, mouse, power cord, etc. They'll look a lot like the photo. Your laptop will not look like the photo because it's been moved, bumped, touched, carried, dropped, switched, etc.
Sadly, their laptops are used and not in the "refurbished" category that you may be used to when purchasing a refurbished product from a manufacturer's site. You're attempting to buy sight-unseen a highly used corporate asset that may have had multiple users over the past 3-4 years. It may look near-new, if it was owned by an executive and never used, or it may be scratched, dinged, with bad pixels, a worn touchpad and buttons, etc., like the two used Dell laptops I recently purchased from Dell Refurbished (FedEx Recycling). Would you buy a used car sight unseen? Would you buy a used keyboard or a used mouse?
I got one of these for under 200 on eBay as an A grade refurb. Very nice laptop & build quality. 10th gen intel still holds its own for virtually anything you'd want to do on this type of laptop. Only downside I've found is the barrel connector charger, no USB C PD.

Had it happen on my business one, and our company has seen many of these as well, in fact replacing all of the Micron SSDs.
Plenty of people buy these Dell refurbs. I have bought 3 myself over the past few years, all have worked well and looked almost new. The refurbisher had even cleaned up the internals. Only one had an issue witha battery not charging past 75% and Dell replaced it with a fresh one very quickly. They told me to keep the old battery as a backup. The systems work well for most day to day use such as web surfing and basic productivity tasks. Given the price and build quality, they really are a decent deal if that is all you need a laptop for. The screens also tend to be better than the crap tier 45% srgb screens you find in bottom tier new laptops from the likes of HP.
Great deal for an i7! Bought one if these because of such a great experience with the same model purchased a few months ago for my wife. Arrived looking brand new and is a very responsive, reliable laptop.

I was going to jump on this, but a quick Google search shows that this model has lots of hinge failures due to it being attached to a weak plastic case.
I have one of these running as a Proxmox server, low power requirements and a built in UPS. More than enough power to run a VPN, Jellyfin, Plex, and Sonarr/Radarr servers with lots of extra headroom.

Vastly YMMV.
For $400 you can buy a brand new Dell laptop, with the latest technology, that will last you 3X as long and has perfect battery life. https://slickdeals.net/f/17281525-dell-inspiron-15-3525-laptop-15-6-1080p-120hz-ryzen-7-5700u-16gb-ddr4-1tb-ssd-400-or-less-free-shipping
Otherwise, consider only buying a used laptop when you can see it and test it first.
