I've used this Krups everyday for almost 5 years and have never cleaned it nor had a clog. Loud as hell for sure but very reliable.
Def a good deal for a name brand burr grinder, but the Cuisinart DBM-8P1 was a Consumer Report Best Buy as I recall. I have the Cuisinart, so I can vouch for it (very reliable, does not clog, large capacity hopper and grind container - but loud af). That said, it's currently selling for over $50, so this Krups at less than $32 is pretty hard to beat, price wise.
I have one and have had it for years.
Good deal to buy another for a backup!

After tossing an OXO in the bin due to its constant clogging attributable to a sideways chute I would say forget this. It will constantly clog and require cleaning. That will be almost impossible to do. I purchased a KitchenAid grinder. Although far more expensive, it is fast, extremely quiet, and has a straight hole from the bean hopper to the receptacle, which will not clog and can be easily cleaned from above.

Thanks. We have the Krups Blade Grinder that has been working like a champ for about 10 years now. We will give that one an early retirement and use it specifically for bread crumbs, herbs, etc.
This is probably a pretty good model to try out a burr grinder with. The reviews are decent (not great), and even if it only lasts a fairly short while, it's a pretty small investment.
The other option is to spend a bit more for a higher quality grinder that will likely last longer with fewer problems. I spent $100 more than this on a stainless Capresso 5 1/2 years ago. With daily use, it has never clogged, and I clean it out once or twice a year. Before this, my intro-to-grinding model was bladed.
