In light of the popularity of the recent Shoei RF-1400 post, I thought I would share this, despite knowing it won't get the same traction and will undoubtedly be poo-poo'd by some.

The below size chart is provided by LS2 for their helmets

Size Head (inches) Head (cm)
XS 20 7/8 – 21 1/4 53-54cm
Small 21 5/8 – 22 55-56cm
Medium 22 1/2 – 22 7/8 57-58cm
Large 23 1/4 – 23 5/8 59-60cm
XL 24 – 24 3/8 61-62cm
XXL 24 3/4 – 25 1/4 63-64cm
XXXL 25 5/8 – 26 65-66cm
XXXXL 26 3/8 – 26 3/4 67-68cm

I bought an open box of this helmet in the Fold Carbon colorway at the end of last season, so I don't have a ton of miles with it yet, but I would consider this a top-tier lid after having worn HJC, Icon, Shoei and Arai helmets over the years. I think the fit and finish is great, the carbon weave is fantastic with nice graphics, built-in sun shade, room for speakers, etc. It has all the bells and whistles of the popular brands, and also comes with pin-loc inserts, a helmet bag AND soft case. But that carbon... it's light. SOOOO light.

But the best part for me is the fit. If you have a very long oval head like me please do yourself a favor and consider this helmet. It is the best fitting helmet I have ever found. No more giant red hotspot in the middle of my forehead.

Now the bad.
Yes, it's a Chinese company.
Yes, I believe these are probably made in China.
No, it's not Snell rated (not necessarily a bad thing).
And the one technical thing that's bad about this helmet is the sun-shade lever. It sits on the left underside of the helmet and isn't sealed well. This makes it LOUD on that side. But, if you are wearing earplugs like you should be, this is not that much of an issue.

This thing retails for in the $450+, and at that price, yeah, I probably would just buy a Shoei that's on sale.
I paid $369 for my open box.
But for $329 for a carbon lid of this quality, I would buy this in a heartbeat again (especially if you have a long oval head). In fact I'm even thinking about getting a second one as a backup.
