You can get a refurbished 13700H version through Acer's eBay store for about $550 after 9% discount. That one also comes with a 2-year Allstate warranty. Hopefully the eBay store offers the 13th-gen i5 U version for around $500 eventually. My college kid has the 12th-gen i5 U version that I bought last year for around $430, and it's fantastically thin and light.

Not bad. Of course, the kid cannot explain the rather large gouge on the lid. Fortunately, it did not affect the screen. She also appreciates the weight compared to the 3.5lb behemoth 14" Chromebook she had in high school.
