I have not used a thinkpad since my days in the business world a long, long time ago. Is the quality still holsing up?

The 300nit, 100% sRGB matte screen is the best screen option for this laptop, imo. At 13 inches, more pixels just use more battery life and, at least for me, this isn't a laptop for creative work. It is for office productivity and general use, and 1920x1200 is basically the sweet spot if you ask me. Never get the 500-nit version with 'PrivacyGuard" option as that screen reduces viewing angles and has general contrast issues (by design, to limit other people from seeing what is on your screen).
Not a bad price for this laptop given its 32gb / 1tb configuration. The higher-end processor with the iGPU also allows you to run most games - even AAA games at FHD and low settings will be playable at moderate frame rates. If you need a highly portable, highly durable productivity laptop and are willing to swap in the bigger battery, it is well worth it.
