With the recent news that Amazon reserves the right to revoke access to purchased content, I'm not buying digital movies from them going forward.

So, when they think it's politically incorrect, they will just change the movie on their servers, and suddenly you will have a butchered version? If you really love a movie, get the hard copy in your records.

Yes. A friend recently pointed out 28 Days Later is not available on any streaming services, rental options, and out of print. There's one option available to buy Blu Ray on Amazon for $150.

I feel like this is going to start happening more frequently. Long live physical media!

What is the recent news? I googled and found this from 2020: https://www.hollywoodreporter.com...t-4083703/

If you're referring to the above, what I do not understand is that - does any other digital media provider's stance (Music or movies from Apple iTunes, for example) on this topic different?

Hi
New to digital movies content.
Wonder how did you know which movies (4k) on sale on Amazon retail or any other retail.

Enjoy tracking down an out-of-print Blu-ray and paying $150. laugh out loud

I bought it on VUDU in 2016 via a $2 Disc to Digital conversion.
I can currently watch in HD at VUDU, iTunes, Microsoft, Google Play, Amazon Prime and Movies Anywhere.

This is also the same with books on Amazon or iTunes. There is a cool company called, Book.io They are a revolutionary Web3 marketplace for ebooks and audiobooks, backed by industry giants like Ingram Content Group, a leading book distributor. Mark Cuban too. Here, you can buy, sell, and truly own your digital books, just like physical ones.

No, the Kindle is owned by Amazon. Book.io has its own iOS app though. Something that has been missing with digital content is the ability to resell books or audio books. Going this route gives you the ability to do that again. I just found out about the company a couple days ago and was blown away. I'd check them out on YouTube. 👍🏽

Thanks. My eyes can't handle long reading sessions on tablet or phone. I am kinda tied to Kindle. Thanks for introducing the site though.
