Not a bad deal, but greentoe is the same price with tax already included.

Curious if this is going to go down a couple hundred more or if this 1.9-2k will be the bottom in the next few months.

I thought its up to the retailer if they charge tax? im trying to get a 77" G3 but being from NY adds a considerable amount of tax and I cant figure out if the counteroffer I got is out the door or plus tax.

The lowest price ever seen for a 77 oled of this caliber was around 1300 for a sony a80j refurb, which is when I bought mine around 1-1.5 years ago. I'd have gladly paid this price for a new one at the time, even more so after getting to enjoy one. If OLED is right for you, I don't know if it's worth waiting, being able to enjoy it rather than wait is definitely worth something.

If you just can't afford one, watch for a refurb deal like I got when secondipity had an all time low price and then a 20% discount on top of that.

I'm still really glad I didn't settle on a cheaper 65", I did wait quite a while to catch the right deal. 77 is an impressive size if you are used to 60 or 65.

You can still get that 3 year or more warranty for about 2k. Sure maybe a bit less quality control but if you get a good unit which tons of people do you get a superior tv if you have any issues you're covered under warranty and even if you want to claim you know the quality control is worse you have no hard data. You can get a s89c 77 inch and 3 year warranty for about this price from bestbuy any issues they'll swap your tv with the new model ez decision when the picture quality is much better c3 has no business being this expensive it's almost equal to c1 c2 or even cx can't compete with mla and new qd oled models

Retailers typically only collect sales tax if they ship to the same state in which they ship from. With Grentoe you never are sure from where they will ship since you don't necessarily know the merchant.

True but I have a bias towards LG/Sony OLEDs and do want Dolby Vision which I don't have confidence Samsung will adopt so I've stuck to looking at the C3 or possibly A80L.

I think the price is good and no problem paying it the curiosity for the lower price is more because I don't have to upgrade but wouldn't pass up a really good deal if something comes about. Have a 75" X900F that is still a great TV but also have 55" C8 and 48" C1 elsewhere so would like to get my main movie watching TV onto OLED finally, especially after recently getting a PS5 since that make gaming really stand out.

From what is listed in el digit verde, the msrp for the 77 C3 has actually lowered to 2300, which was a strike price for the C1 back then, I can see 1800 squeezing out.

Looks like this deal is actually Beach Camera. Selecting ship from Walmart gets it back up to 2300. Hmm.
