Don't get this one spend the extra for the one with the container that separates the clean and dirty water
Alternatively you can buy a bucket for $1 and stick the $1 bucket into the o-cedar. This is what I did to save a little money.
I have that one. Honestly it's a pain because it holds less water than the original and is difficult to fill the clean water chamber. The mop head is also much smaller. Just FYI.

I was going to but this as a second one. Then I could rinse in one, wring it out and mop with the clean water one. I have been just using a second bucket for the clean soapy water, but then I have to wring it into the dirt water before mopping.

I guess my method works well enough for now.

are the mopheads so effective & extraordinary that they're worth $10 for each refill?

By purchasing the original. thereby taking advantage of the larger catch bucket, you can also implement a 2 or 3 bucket mopping system. Dunk mop head into a dedicated bucket (1) with cleaning solution of choice, spin excess into o-cedar, mop one area, dunk mop head into a separate bucket (2) of water to clean the microfiber mop head, spin in the o-cedar, optional: a secondary water rinse bucket (3) if you want to be even more clean, spin into o-cedar, dunk mop head into cleaning solution bucket (1) again, spin excess into o-cedar, mop next area. Repeat.

Depending how big your house is you may have to dump and refill the buckets throughout the process. Be amazed at how dirty the rinse buckets get. Won't be able to go back to 1-bucket mopping ever again once you see.
