Unfortunately, I've had that issue in the past and now every time I place an order I take a screenshot of the order total when it's complete so I have it for backup. Even with this proof UE won't always refund you and I sometimes have to go to my credit card
My understanding is that the order is not final until it is sent to the restaurant so if your "advance order" is outside the promo expire range it just gets bumped from the order. I could be wrong but that's my personal observation.
