I've always wondered about these no integrated graphics chips: whenever I was first building my computer, it was nice to have a secondary graphics display if the graphics card wasn't working right because of drivers. I suppose if that was the case using this chip, you would have no secondary HDMI output...? Or can it put out extremely simple graphics?

No, the "F" means that the motherboard HDMI (and any other video out) doesn't work at all. Not even low graphics mode. Nothing.

You are right, no secondary display output. If you have problems with your GPU, your PC will be a paper weight.

Hopefully some good deals coming up on 13th gen considering 14th has been out a few months, and 15th gen is 7 months away.

The F stands for (F)etch another video card if the first one isn't working.

This isn't so much a deal, just a price adjustment to bring it in line with the cost of new 14th gen cpus with similar benchmarks. i5-14500 is a little better for current price of $239.

almost exactly the same performance, the 14500k will use less power too

This doesn't seem like a great deal. Paid $210 OTD for the i9-12900K at Microcenter back in August.

Agree. The price difference for K vs KF is often ~$20 and it's great having the onboard as a backup.
