About this movie:
  • Director: James Cameron
  • Summary: 57 years after Ellen Ripley had a close encounter with the reptilian alien creature from the first movie, she is called back, this time, to help a group of highly trained colonial marines fight off against the sinister extraterrestrials. But this time, the aliens have taken over a space colony on the moon LV-426. When the colonial marines are called upon to search the deserted space colony, they later find out that they are up against more than what they bargained for. Using specially modified machine guns and enough firepower, it's either fight or die as the space marines battle against the aliens. As the Marines do their best to defend themselves, Ripley must attempt to protect a young girl who is the sole survivor of the nearly wiped out space colony.

I mostly watch this at night, Mostly !! ( I now own this on DVD, Blu-Ray , DVR and now on iTunes.) I like that this iTunes version has the deleted scenes as well. This is probably one if my top 10 movies of all time for my list !

This is the greatest action movie of all time.

Every scene from the medic bay onward is the greatest action scene of all time, with each scene getting subsequently better until your head explodes in the end.
Words of Wisdom about this perfect Action Adventure film--
with just the right amount of horror added to the mix.

And don't forget a great supporting cast - especially Chet from Weird Science!

They mostly used AI upconverting like True Lies, Mostly.

At least that is what they are saying on Blu-Ray.com.

Die Hard isn't even the greatest John McTiernan action movie.

I refuse to watch this streaming, the banding on the dark scenes (basically the whole film) will be horrible. Watch on physical media, for sure. I can wait 2 weeks.
I wish my Apple Vision Pro could play physical media somehow.

If only there were a way to convert a physical disc into an uncompressed MKV image. If only.

But you're an Apple guy, so you probably don't know anything about this kind of stuff.

And btw, slipping your AVP into the conversation is probably the weakest flex I've ever seen. LOL.

What makes you think I would have any interest in uncompressed MKV files? That's what the absolute poorest non-Apple using scrubs do.

Gross.

I purchased the theatrical on VUDU and the Special Edition (found in Bonus Features) is 4k as well. There are some very nice features for a digital release in this - 2 commentary tracks, isolated score, making of, etc.). Great deal!

It's all too bad Apple completely screwed up the store by getting rid of it and moving purchasing to the TV app which is not clear at all on what you get with a purchase if you have other apps connected.

Spoken like someone who really needs the Apple walled garden thought police to tell them what to do. Enjoy your AVP with compressed Aliens!
