This would just be a closed circuit security system running on solar?

Sarcasm aside, this requires wi-fi for functionality however the solar panel replaces the need for hard wire.

"Get worry-free 24/7 protection, even during power outages or without WiFi coverage."

You don't need WiFi if you just want to record events, since memory card is on the camera,

You need WiFi if you want to receive alert or view clip remotely.

Um the battery replaces need for hardwire. The panel just helps keep battery charged longer. There's plenty of battery powered cams without solar, but there's no cams powered via only solar.

So hesitent on gettin anythin soIar thats stationary. ln theory you couId get a ton of bird droppin on it and that wiII def have some adverse effects. MobiIe setup is a bit better Iike in camping, say your RV has removable paneIs on its roof, you can aIways check your gear often cIean it etc.

I have 5 Reolink cameras, all solar. They are probably 5 yrs old and still going strong. For me, they are wonderful.

Isn't that a bit expensive for one cam and a solar panel? Is it worth it?
What app do you use to view it? If storing on SD, you can still view it remotely too, correct? And can you view both in real time or view the recordings remotely?

Doesn't that solar panel really stand out against your house? Especially on a darker house.
