It's okay for the price, mainly because it's "new" but the binned CPU definitely kills it a little, and 1TB of storage would be nice considering the 14" you posted a couple hours ago has 1TB and the unbinned CPU (albeit 16GB RAM and it's a refurb) for $150 cheaper

Deals like this are why I find the $1499 16 1TB macbook air deal so hard to swallow. I'd like the Air since I prefer portability over all that extra power. But when they are priced so close together it's just hard to justify.

Isn't that how all CPUs work (sort of)? CPUs that come off the line that can support a certain clock speed are labeled for that speed? I guess I don't see how this is a bad thing, if you're buying a functional 8-core processor for a lower price. If it were sold as a 10-core but performed badly, that would be another thing.
