nearly impossible. my local vet is a rip off beyond remotely reasonable, plus they hate when i ask questions or express any doubt of their recommendations. On top of all that, they insist my dog should weight 75 lbs max, which is absurd beyond comprehension. if you have a good local family vet, YES! since i relocated 100s of miles from my old one years ago, id rather support chewy than my local crooks. sadly, just becoming impossible lately for many

My family vet marks drugs up 300-400% more than online pharmacies. I sympathize that the pay is decreasing and the school costs are skyrocketing, but it's hard not to resent paying triple prices. I wouldn't mind paying more for exams or even 30% more mark-up on drugs, but it seems as though the economics veterinarians are already gone. It's a brutal business.
