Is it really worth the amount? Is the sound quality comparable to professional audio equipment that bands use?
At low levels, sure, but its not comparable to the power output and drivers that you see in PA speakers, which live bands tend to use for performing live. Unless you're talking about recording studio sound, which is closer in power level, but you still won't get as accurate of a sound.

Did anyone place the order on the website and didn't receive the confirmation email from the website? I checked the spam mailbox as well…
You must have got an order number when you placed the order. You can go to the website and check the status with the order number.

Somehow this still seems live so I'll add my .02 after receiving mine today.

My main comparison is to Onyx Studio 2 and 4 models, which are very similar to each other. At ~$100, they have long been the benchmark for me for a speaker that isn't meant to be heavily used as a portable. I haven't found anything better for heavy indoor use without paying quite a bit more.

This Go3 has superior low bass and overall bass output. Same with overall volume, it can play louder but not what I'd call a huge difference, subjectively. Still has a 3.5mm aux in, phone feature, and USB port for charging another device (not charging the speaker). It feels solid, and has a very premium look to it. The battery should be a little better than the Onyx speakers, which aren't great. This one should be good for a few hours are reasonable volume, but that bass will drain it quick if you go full volume. There's no power brick, just a regular AC cord. Stereo with another speaker is possible without an app.

What I don't like about it, is the treble is very bright, a lot more than I'd expect from an H/K product. I think this could be a plus outdoors, or off axis like with the speaker being on the ground with people sitting above it. But straight on, it's really bright, too much treble in my opinion. You also can't charge it via USB, and it has capacitive touch controls. But at least, the touch controls seem responsive. The woofer is down firing with clearance due to the feet, this is fine on a table or other hard surface, but won't be ideal on grass or something like a blanket.

So, all in all, I see it as having some pluses and minuses vs. the older Onyx models, which I really like a lot. I'd say it's probably a better pick if you use your speaker outdoors a lot. But if the speaker will mostly stay indoors in one spot, I have to say I still prefer the sound signature of the Onyx 2/4 models I have. There's too much treble on this one with no app to use to correct it.

I still think there's a lot of value here at this price, but don't consider it to be a sizeable upgrade over my Onyx speakers for use mostly as a stays in place speaker. It'll be a deck speaker for me, and I'm going to do some digging to see if I can find a mode to reduce the tweeters a couple dB.

Got this in yesterday. The box it came in is over 3x as big as the retail box. It was sliding all around in the box the entire shipment. Nothing is broken but I have no idea why HK decided to use such a unnecessarily huge box to ship these in.

Anyway, they sound amazing, especially at this price. Clear highs, good mids, rumbly, deep bass. Good soundstage, imaging, and separation. Look and feels very premium too. Bluetooth is so strong, it was still connected to my iPhone Pro 15 through a door/walls/room and over 50ft. away.

They're too heavy and big to be very portable, but they'd be great to bring to parties, private gyms, or any activity that doesn't involve water. It's very powerful for its size. These are basically made for home use though. Very useful and portable for around the home.

What a killer deal.

I had to turn off my VPN then my payment went through successfully! I hope it helps.
Received both my units in three days to Ohio. No sales tax and I used PayPal. Paired both units together for left and right channel stereo. Sound is very clean and in some ways I prefer them to our JBL Authentics 700's. Extremely happy with this purchase!

I am seeing full price for speaker in the OP however the Onyx studio 7 is showing 150 with MSRP of like 450. Is the Onyx a better speaker? Can the one speaker be used for a small house party?

Edit: I missed the detail about discount price in cart. Discount is reflected in cart.

Still between the two which speaker would be the better value to fill a room with quality sound?
Their website has jacked up MSRP prices compared to their store on Amazon. I'd compare them first.

Dear portable speaker makers -

I will not buy any products that require a proprietary charger/power cable/adapter, like this one.

It's not proprietary Doofenshmirtz.

I listened to mine for another hour, and that's the exact conclusion I came to - the treble really jumps out at you, you can tell it's just coming from that one spot, like some much smaller cheaper speakers. I actually turned mine 90 degrees to where I was and I think that helped. Maybe using 2 in stereo would help but I don't think I want to double down on it.

No thanks. USB C or keep it to yourself.
Here's hoping you will graduate to 2024 and a portable power station Maude.

Treble coming from 2 spots. You've simply have mid-range sensorineural hearing loss.

It is heavier and wider than Onyx. Imagine two Onyxs joined together. But it is still portable.
