It turns out there are secret button pushes to change equalizer modes on this thing:
https://youtu.be/ktjCIpky_Lg?si=-...Y4xY&t=267

hit volume up and phone simultaneously to cycle between 3 treble modes,

hit volume down and bluetooth simultaneously to cycle base modes in a similar fashion

It's still showing full price for me despite trying 2 different browsers...it's clearly marked as full price in my Cart at Checkout unfortunately.
Update: After failing with Chrome and Firefox, used Brave browser and I'm now seeing the discounted price in the Cart. Thanks folks for letting me know that the deal is still alive--much appreciated.

Sending mine back. Compared with my JBL Boombox 2; BB2, to my ears, just has bigger tighter bass, and better highs.

If I didnt have BB2 to compare with, this would have been a keeper.

How much did the BB2 cost?

Perfect timing! Been thinking of upgrading from my Bose Mini Gen1 whose battery no longer works more than 15 mins. Might be an overkill for my hot bath moment but thanks OP!

About $300, maybe a bit below for refurbs as far as I recall. BB is much more durable for portable use and has better battery life.

Output wise they are awfully close. And this is half price.

They must have a ton of these.

I am keeping mine. Compared to my JBL Clip 4; GP3, to my ears, just has bigger tighter bass, and better highs.

If I didn't have GP3 to compare with, Clip 4 would have been my winner!

Pls don't ask me why I am comparing items twice the other's price. Cause I just learnt that is how comparison works.. 😀

Man, it's basically an M12 battery. Imagine if you could just pop one of those in by accessing a port with a few screws.

Seriously a good electronics company should just make stuff like this compatible with tool batteries. The batteries are always the weak point. Imagine Milwaukee partnering with H/K making stuff styled like regular gear.
How long does the battery life last on a normal usage (2 hrs a day on mid volume) ? How can I take care of battery so that it lasts longer ? Is it okay to discharge it fully and then charge again ?

If you don't need to move it get the Citation 500 for $229. It sounds amazing. In fact get two and you can set them up in stereo mode and you'll be shocked at how good it sounds. Will blow Sonos Era 100 out of the water. Sonos Era is on par with Citation 200 which is two sizes down from Citation 500.
Would the Citation 500s (as a stereo pair) be better than and as easy to use than the Echo Studios I have now? I tried contacting HK support via chat and they were useless.

I've never used the Echo Studio but the Citation 500 was a $600 speaker when it was released and the Echo Studio is $200. The 500 is a higher end smart speaker. It doesn't have Atmos music capability like the Echo Studio but it will surely sound better for two channel audio.

Is there a grill like cover available to protect the bottom subwoofer. I am asking for portability while traveling or for outdoor use. I am afraid the subwoofer would tear on accidental damage. Tx

2hrs a day on battery would have you charging it every day, maybe you could get by on every other day.

Charging every day like that I'd ballpark maybe 2 years. Batteries like this are typically rated for 500 cycles before losing 20% capacity. And I'd be remiss without noting that H/K doesn't seem that great for long battery life, whether it's the cells they use or how the electronics manage them. Nowadays you just kinda have to look at everything with a designed life, if you used this every day for 2 years that's not too bad for the price and performance. And it is possible to change the battery, I just never seem to have much luck doing things like that and having it go back together as new.

Speaking from what I've seen from my Onyx speakers, leaving them plugged in all the time somehow wears the battery even without much use, and many speakers seem to have the same issue.

If you use the right cc you could get 2 years coverage, though I'm not sure the claim process would be worth it to me. Maybe by then we'll see more lipo batteries in stuff like this.

I'd be using this speaker plugged in all the time. Does anyone know if it will work once the battery is ruined?
Thx in advance.
