Has anyone been successful getting this pricing applied to a current/active account?
Any tips/tricks?

Wondering if a manager at a local store could price match for current accounts... Usually people just alternate accounts every year or so - like roommate or family member for one year, then the other person for another year. Maybe not as viable if you have phones tied up with them or any other kind of contract though

It looks like when I select to upgrade my plan, the $25 a month option is available. Currently paying $35 a month for 400mbps and the promotion will expire at the end of this year. I am wondering if I should select the $25 plan and not have to worry about looking for another promotion after the current one expires.

I'm guessing it's the same, age old trick with Comcast: if you don't get the answer you want from the rep you're talking to....try, try again.

(Totally guessing...) but it feels like the reps get bonused on the new accounts they sign up. So if you find the right rep, they'll have you cancel your current plan, then start on the new plan, and that rep would get the credit.

And don't ever feel like you're screwing over Comcast. I had Comcast Business for 1Gig for 2 years at $100 per month. The DAY that it ended, they jacked me up to $300 per month. I didn't notice it for 2 months. Once I did, I switched to regular Comcast for 900MB for $60. If I didn't cancel, they would have happily charged me $300/mo for my service I'm now getting for $60.

If they're offering it...you deserve it. Good luck! Smilie

Do the ol' cancel & sign up again with a different name trick. You get a week or more of free internet after you cancel - sign up after a week after cancellation under a new name and just activate it when they cut you off.

I currently have had this offer in the Midwest for >1yr. Been great. Even threw in a free xfi pod when I complained of poor coverage.

Happened with xb7 modem. It became so bad that I had to swap it. Store guy gave me xb8 and so far so good. For this promotion they usually give xb3 model, but I negotiated to get the newer one.

No need to try again. Setup a disconnection date and wait for the calls from retention to roll in.

Probably reps get a bonus for anything which is asked upon them by their superiors in reIation to new accounts, customer retention, etc only when beneficial to their bottom line. If you want to get any sort of response ofc as a customer on any service you just have to state you are cancelling it. SeriousIy sometimes its Iike trying to get a puIse on a beached whaIe from these reps, they aII seem to have the same MO to keep you waitin for ar least half an hour.

Any trick to get the installation fee waived for a new home that never has Xfinity service?
