The spouse/partner trick is unnecessary. Just sign up as though you are moving to your own address. I did it again yesterday and it worked the same as a year ago. Go to Xfinity.com (while NOT signed in) > Internet Deals. Enter address and it will recognize you have service there. Ignore the buttons for signing in or transferring service. Instead choose the option for new customer. Click through the plans and get your cart all tidy. Eventually you will come to a page asking you to either create an Xfinity ID or log into an existing; choose existing. It will even let you keep your autopay bank account the same. Shortly after submitting, you'll see a pending cancellation email and a thank you for your new order. Later (or in my case the next (this) morning), another email will give the cancellation date (several weeks out for me). Once the new modem arrives (if you chose one, which I did in order to get the $10 XFi complete), activate the new modem under the new account and it will automatically cancel your prior account at the same time. There will be some final prorations on the old account, and the new account will also have the opposite.

I'm guessing it's the same, age old trick with Comcast: if you don't get the answer you want from the rep you're talking to....try, try again.

(Totally guessing...) but it feels like the reps get bonused on the new accounts they sign up. So if you find the right rep, they'll have you cancel your current plan, then start on the new plan, and that rep would get the credit.

And don't ever feel like you're screwing over Comcast. I had Comcast Business for 1Gig for 2 years at $100 per month. The DAY that it ended, they jacked me up to $300 per month. I didn't notice it for 2 months. Once I did, I switched to regular Comcast for 900MB for $60. If I didn't cancel, they would have happily charged me $300/mo for my service I'm now getting for $60.

If they're offering it...you deserve it. Good luck!

Has anyone been successful getting this pricing applied to a current/active account?
Any tips/tricks?

Any good deals for NE region? I had to get the 400mb + 1 by the gig phone plan for 47 (30 on checking and 17 on amex per month with rented modem after auto pay. I will also use Amex Plat Biz for $10 off per month credit. Would not mind slower connection for less $ but did not see the option.

Does it work if I don't buy a new modem?

FWIW Cc promised me 400 MBS; I'm only getting 1/3 of that.
Most likely a problem with your modem.

If I am using my own equipment, will there be any down time when the new rate kicks in?

If you have Frontier Fiber in your area, they are currently offering 500mbs and a eero router for $25. Way better deal than this

Which plan you have that provide you 100 Mbps download and which Hitron modem you using? I would like to get the same 😂.
Oh yeah, this is the biggest change/find of recent times, so you should be excited :-) . I had basically given up any possibility of decent upload speeds on Comcast/cablemodem . Given how Comcast is the only option in many neighborhoods, this was pretty hopeless. But this became a reality late last year.
Just get one of these two: I just got the $99 one, don't see a need to get 2.5G version as it's very unlikely to be used.

Works fantastic. I tried talking to all levels of Xfinity "tech support" for many many hours and they were all clueless (all in Philippines ) . They only know how to "send a reset signal" to your modem! So I just ordered it and got it working.
Here's the speedtest proof. I thought I'd never see the day this'd happen. But they must've realized they can't be worse than 5G wireless cellphones with wired coax finally!

My plan just says "Connect More" . I believe it either always, or started saying 100Mbps upload , but I never got more than 10/20Mbps. Then I read about the "NextGen" network rollout Comcast has been doing on the Xfinity/Reddit forums, and decided to try it with the Hitron modem. And it worked! So obviously Comcast should've upgraded their network in your area. But I don't know if there's an authoritative way of finding that out, without actually trying it out. $99 for a good new modem is worth a shot!

I signed up in January for $60 for 800mbps, I see the offer if I down grade to connect more which is 300mbps for $25. Probably going to switch to save$35.

I just downgraded my plan, to save $35. I was renting a modem for $0 before and the new plan also came with a free modem rental. After completing the downgrade I got a screen that said I need to return the modem and pick up a new rental modem. Do I really need to do that? Seems pointless.

I'm on the lower 19.99 tier, but just noticed that they bumped it from 75mbps to 150 mbps for free - that's a great free upgrade. Apparently it also comes with 100mbps upload if you buy one of their new D3.1 modems.

I've been swapping names every year for the past few years to keep the 19.99 price. The next plan tier seems like less of an upgrade for 50mbps more if you already have a modem.

Does this $25 plan include 100Mbps upload, or the older 10/20Mbps ?

I have been able to get 100Mbps finally since a couple of months back with the recommended Hitron modem , and it's a gamechanger. Will not lose it for any discount..

I don't particularly care for download speeds if over 100Mbps.
If you rent a modem it does, currently on that plan and I'm getting 100mbps. Supposedly you can buy 1 of 4 specific modems as well that will support the faster upload.

Thanks, I followed this, seems to have worked, we'll find out in a bit!

I didn't have an option for 200 Mbps, but I ended up with 150 Mbps for $20, good enough for what we use, and half what we were paying on our previous deal for 200Mbps.

I didn't have any breaks in my service when I switched over to this plan back in December 2023. I did, however, reboot my modem to hedge my bets since my speed tier changed from 800Mbps to 400Mbps.
