I have the smaller/weaker version and its actually pretty sweet. I've used my friends 400 ft pound 1/2 inch and it's a beast.

Will definitely take off lug nuts

Great deal. The 12v platform has expanded well and is this impact is suitable for most automotive needs. 12v is also more than enough for most DIYers and home uses, though big battery boys will tell you otherwise.
