amazon been doing this a lot lately. Id say the mismatch in this case is a typo and it is for 1250w. often its a different style entirely but the importance specs (related to item purchased) are correct. great price

Will never buy cooler master products again. While support will answer your questions, good luck getting cables if your psu didn't come with them. Customer first companies get my money from now on.
Cooler master has been amazing for me for 24 years. Cases, fans, PSUs, rebates - Have sent me free cables when newer tech comes out.

This or a Thermaltake Toughpower GF3?
Once i learned it didnt have 12vhp cable then i would take GF3; they are made similar for taiwanese company but cooler masters are rated highly overall

I emailed about my sk653 keyboard and still nothing lol so no reply at all; that said their products are solid overall for the price they generally are for even on discount; i mean during the sickle flow 120mm fans people were getting them for free or getting paid to get them so not a bad deal and not much to avoid them just cause they are poor in one aspect of business

This is a great price for what they are offering. I paid $130 last year for 1000W for the EVGA Super Nova and that was 2.0, not 3.0.

I can't speak for Cooler Master reliability, but otherwise it looks good,

Note. It doesn't come with a 12VHPWR cable. It is sold separately for $10.

Also, the specs on Amazon is super confusing.
- On Amazon it states 2 PCIe cables vs 4 on the cooler master website
- on Amazon it states 5 years warranty vs 10 years on cooler master.
Just got delivered and it did had right angle12vhpwr included.

1250 watts! This deal is a steal. There will be no need to upgrade the power supply for the next 20 years!

What the heck do you even need this much power for? I just got a 1000w supply and I feel that is overkill for my system.

No doubt you are correct for 99% of people

Seems like 850w is enough for almost everyone

Still I bought it for my next build bc at this price, it's the same price as what I need now

If you want to run some of the really good LLMs locally, multiple high-end GPUs are required in order to store all parameters in VRAM. As an example, Mixtral 8x7b is a ~45 billion parameter model, you can barely fit those parameters in a dual 24GB-VRAM GPU setup. You can quantize to reduce VRAM requirements, but even with that we're just talking about inferencing.

There's also the classic stuff like any kind of data science involving CUDA, etc. If we're talking about gaming...yeah 1250W is overkill even for a 4090 setup. But some people do actually do compute with their computers.

850w with 3.0 would do fine for me so I was looking for 1000w just to have room for upgrade and this showed up on my face 😅

I highly recommend the Corsair RM1200x SHIFT over this. It's still on sale for $199 on Amazon, and comes with the 12VHPWR cable. It's also ATX 3.0.

It's a gamechanger because it has the connectors on the side, allowing for better and way easier cable management. You can check if your case has clearance here:
I think it's great to have options so you can pair the case w/ an appropriate PSU, but when I was shopping cases last year I found more cases that were SHIFT-unfriendly than the other way around.

Most cases one would buy today have less than 30mm of clearance? I doubt it.

You can check if the case will work with SHIFT PSUs in their PSU configurator here: https://www.corsair.com/us/en/pc-...inder/case

Every single case I considered when case shopping had the clearance.
