Have never had success with these - id suggest watering from a bottom tray if you buy, they dry out like instantly.

yeah you have to water excessively because the pots themselves will drink it up

Never use these things, just use plastic.
I have worked in three different greenhouses and have planted tens of thousands of plants in my life and these things are the worse.

As TeamORillo and Merry Crown said these dry out instantly. Then you need to water more. If you overwater seedling you get stem rot and fungus. The only thing these things grow are mold.

just use red solo cups, poke a few holes in the bottom. deeper roots, holds moisture and reusable for next season.

Do not buy these. These never break down in soil and your plants will be root bound and never grow. I used these 3 yrs ago and the pots in the dirt still haven't broken down. Stick to solo cups.
