I'd been a happy Secondipity customer for years and vouched for them here on SD (see post history), but they've adopted new, consumer-unfriendly policies. Reports that they're sending items that aren't actually refurbished, rejecting returns, and banning customers who return are 100% accurate.
My last couple purchases didn't meet condition criteria. Got a Sony AZ3000ES receiver ($1000 item) with stickers on it and a sizable dent to case. They claimed it was in acceptable condition for a refurb and made no effort to address other than suggesting I return it. Didn't provide a paid shipping label (policy violation). When I left negative feedback, they banned me from bidding on other items.
Not the top shop it used to be. Can no longer recommend.
I have ordered a few things from Secondipity and have been pleased every time. That includes the xm5's.
Having said that, having both the xm5's and the xm4's, I am not sure that I can tell of a real improvement.
I keep meaning to do a side-by-side. But...if I need to do a side-by-side to know, I am wondering if that does not tell the story.
Don't get me wrong. The xm5's sound fantastic. But so do the xm4's. And truthfully, I kind of prefer the build of the xm4's. They fold up into a smaller case.
I am not saying to not buy the xm5's. You will not be disappointed. But if you are trying to save a little more, then I would give a hard look at the xm4's too.
Wow that's a great price for xm5s.
Recently got Secondipity's refurb XB910Ns and they came in flawless condition, minus packaging (still got the hard case and all cables). They sent the wrong color - twice - but did offer a full refund but I'll suck it up for the price.
Logitech G Cloud from them was also perfect condition for dirt cheap.
Worth mentioning their customer service sucks in the sense of, they don't read your message fully and give generic copypaste responses, BUT they are great about refunds/replacements policy-wise.

I was wondering if anybody could post about the allstate warranty. Is it worth the hassle ?
Not sure what hassle you're referring to, but I've used the Allstate extended protection on other products and they're amazing. They'll always offer a refund to avoid the hassle of getting things fixed, which is awesome. Perhaps that's the hassle you're referring to? If so, then yeah, there's no hassle at all.
Edit: their strategy may change depending on the purchase price of an item, but when I used them they were for ~$150-200 equipment so I would assume they'll take the same approach for these, maybe.
"The Anker Soundcore Space Q45 Wireless have a slight edge over the Sony WH-1000XM5 Wireless. While both headphones are well-built, the Anker are more comfortable, and their ANC can block out significantly more ambient noise. They're also advertised to have a longer continuous battery life than the Sony headphones. However, the Sony have a more neutral sound profile, though it's still pretty bass-heavy, which some users may prefer."

Interesting as sound guys say Anker arent as good sound canceling ?
"The ANC is fairly solid, although it doesn't compare as well to market-leading headsets like the Sony WH-1000XM5"

I like the foldable design of the xm4's more and I want to gift a pair of sony headphones.
