IF people are also curious, those 5 are also the top donators to WSAVA.

Read through the standards they set. In reality, I think it's likely difficult for niche manufacturers to meet that bar, and that more than these brands produce good food. The research put into these foods is what swayed me to switch. There's a lot of marketing in this space about 'premium ingredients', being against processed food etc - but few hire nutritionists, and fewer still perform research.

Is it as good as this one?

They've been in the business for many years and it's high protein
The Diamond Naturals is far better quality. The only Purina I would consider would be Pro Plan, and you'll pay more for it than this. Diamond has also been in the business a long time. Btw, the term high protein varies among brands. And you only want a high protein food if you have a very active dog, one that gets a LOT of exercise. They are primarily for hunting dogs and other working dogs.

PS. That Purina has a lot filler that your dog doesn't need. It just makes larger stools. And it has 21% protein, according to the pictures, which is actually low protein. That's even less than most senior foods. Steer clear. It's cheap for a reason.
