These are sweet. 22lb drag on a 2500. Light small design but still hold some line and smooooth. Many positive reviews including SaltStrong. I'm tempted to get another.

Rep for sharing fishing deals. We need more to come. However, ~$120 price for a Procyon AL is common at many places including Amazon (example: https://www.amazon.com/Daiwa-PCNA...8D1GY9D8/). I'm personally in favor of Procyon MQ LT over the AL series. But there is in general nothing wrong with a Daiwa reel over $100 regardless.
Just be a little bit cautious with their reviews, they strongly recommended the Daiwa Fuego reel and I found it to be quite inadequate for inshore fishing down here in Florida
I've seen these discounted a few places now, they must be clearing them out. Can't go wrong with Daiwa, I've never fished this reel, but I've fished plenty of other Daiwa's in this price range and I've never had any complaints.
How's this compare to a BG? Looking for something for fluke/schoolie stripers.
IMHO Procyn is lighter and more suited for lure fishing -- the same holds true for Fuego. BG is a very solid reel that can sustain a lot of abuse, but I tend to use it for bottom rigging bait fishing more.

I have no idea. I was just sharing my opinion that $120 for a Procyn is not the greatest price
Pflueger President is for freshwater only and Daiwa Fuego, Procyon, and BG are all serious inshore saltwater reels.
