Worked for me.

I wish they would reduce the price by dropping the bag and charger. I don't need any more of those!

Seems like a good deal but I feel like ridgid tools are dying out or they quit innovating. I've been die hard since 2009 and I'm thinking about switching.

Can you explain the issue you're having? I just switched from Ryobi to Ridgid 4-tools kit but haven't open the box yet.

There is nothing negative going on with Ridgid and they continue to introduce new tools.

Ridgid's 18 volt lineup in America are rebranded from the German tool company AEG, so you can often look at their website to see what might be coming here: https://www.aeg-powertools.eu/en-eu

Don't do that. Ridgid batteries have the undervoltage protection chip onboard, while DeWalt tools contain that circuitry. By running a Ridgid tool with a DeWalt battery, you could drain the battery completely, preventing you from ever being able to recharge it, let alone use it again.

What you can do is buy a 3d-printed Ryobi > Ridgid adapter on eBay, put it together (some soldering is involved), and then use Ryobi batteries to power your Ridgid tools, which I have done.
