Tide Simply is Proctor and Gamble's bargain line. I bought it at Amazon and got my wife annoyed. Okay for lightly soiled clothes, but not a stain remover like regular Tide.

I had the same comment by my wife. She wasn't impressed.

Great price for the smaller size bottles, but Tide Simply is nowhere near the quality of the more expensive Tide laundry detergents. Consumer Reports rated Tide Simply quite poorly.

Took a marketing class where we had someone who worked in this field come talk to us. We asked questions around generics and performance of generics (and lower price alternatives) and the one thing that stood out from someone was ex-P&G was that they would only use Tide. Nothing else (this was quite a few years ago but it stood out). So as much as there is Gain or other cheap stuff detergents out there, I buy Tide + (that's what I'm going to call the stuff in the orange bottle with the blue cap since this stuff is out there creating confusion.. either that or I'll call this one Tide with Ads.)

Tried a t lot of detergents over the years. I've taken the Pepsi challenge and some of the other brands just aren't very good. More noticeable with an HE front load washer.

Good enough for towels.

OT on the deal but those fools at Walgreens always intentionally not substitute my items then hold up my rewards bc they will intentionally fulfill 1 item out of 10 items in my order just to hold my coupons so I can't make another order. I went inside the store and see the items in stock on the shelf. Walgreens have so many customers complaining about not fulfilling customers online order. Everyone should abandon them so they don't get traffic then they lose their job for being an asshole. I heard some customers complain saying the employees do that on purpose so they can keep the items themselves. Waste my time trying to complete an order for them to take my order for themselves

Alternatively, you may want to consider the Arm & Hammer laundry detergents which are on sale. It looks like they're buy one, get two free; $7.49 ea. or 3 for $7.49. Link to one variety [walgreens.com].
Then add one bottle of Purex detergent, on sale for $3.99 (reg. $8.99), link [walgreens.com] and clip the $1 off coupon. Total will be $7.49 + $2.99 = $10.48 plus tax.
I've had good results with these products and the Purex bottle is 50 oz., not the small 31 oz. size of Simply and Arm & Hammer. I couldn't get more than 1 Purex coupon to be applied when I tried to buy multiples.
