It is doubtful you will have 2.5GBe in a hotel or most anywhere you travel for a long, long time, so having an extra ethernet port on the MT-1300 is a better deal for most. 2.5GBe is mostly only useful at home and for that a full size home router would be the answer. You can turn the WAN port to a LAN port for more wired connections and that would have allowed you to have 2.5GB connections to the other wired device(s), but the dedicated LAN port is only 1GBe. So the 1GBe WAN and 2x 1GBe LAN on the MT-1300 look better in comparison (and yes you can convert the WAN port to LAN if you would like).
Faster wifi would be alright, I haven't compared the MT-1300's speed to this one, but I am guessing the MT-1300 isn't much slower and probably faster than the connections you are likely to run into while traveling.

Been trying to figure out which of GL.iNet routers are best for this, or if this router works well.
