Too expensive for what you get with this. The starting price should be $250 or less, before any discounts or trade-ins. Also the trade-in values here are weak AF.
I was even stupid enough to pay $1 to get a $50 off certificate before release, and now it just looks like I donated $1 to OnePlus. Lesson learned.
Being OnePlus, I figured they would come in with an aggressive price of no more than $250.

Same here, I assumed it would be more aggressively priced. I'm not biting, lesson learned.
There is a $30 coupon bringing it down to $220+tax after $50 recycle credit. Not sure if it is still worth it. Watch 6 is at Costco for a similar price.

You could purchase a $10 smartwatch from temu to get the $50 trade in credit, plus the $30 coupon makes this effectively $230. Which is a fair price, though Samsung watch6 is only like $150 after discounts.

Not really a trade in. You don't have to send anything. They just give you a discount on an honor system that you will recycle an old piece of tech.
I ordered this watch and tried it for a few days hoping to replace my Samsung Watch 6. OP W2 is not a bad watch but:
1. Basically no accessories for it. I realize it is brand new, but it will never be as popular as Samsung so it is unlikely there will ever be a large variety of accessories. I like magnetic bracelets and there are none available right now. They are $8-10 for my Samsung.
2. They cheaped out and used contact pins for charger instead of induction. Maybe tech improved, but on my previous watch (from 10 years ago) with contact charging pins inevitably gunked up from wearing the watch and charging became an issue.
3. You're limited to a very small selection of watch faces compatible with the second OS/processor on this watch to get the full battery life. Regular watch faces available from play store will reduce battery life by 2-3 days according to a warning message that shows up when you try to install them.
Main reason I'm returning is it really isn't a significant improvement over Galaxy Watch 6 and Samsung will basically give me a new watch every year for around $120 after trading in the previous one. Plus I already have a ton of accessories like cases, bracelets and chargers. If this was my first smart watch, I would definitely keep it despite the issues above. IMHO it is worth $250 now that it is running Wear OS and has NFC/Wallet for payments.
