Zipair, a Japanese low-cost airline headquartered at NRT, wholly owned subsidiary of Japan Airlines, have round trip airfares travelling from Vancouver Canada (YVR) to Narita Tokyo (NRT) for $565, nonstop. This is a new route added by ZIPAIR Tokyo. You may earn ZIPAIR points or exchange JAL (Japan Air Lines) points. ZIPAIR has Boeing 787 Dreamliners in their fleet. Wi-Fi is completely FREE throughout the entire flight.
So to let you know...Zipair is much like our version of Spirit or Frontier. There is no seat selection, no changes, no refunds and no snacks/refreshments. However, you may purchase these extras prior to your trip. Your personal item and carry-on bag may not exceed 15 lbs. An in-flight hot meal is about $11 USD. Checked-bag is approx $50. There are lie-flat seats up front. If those are available during your flight, you may use your inflight order service to change your seat. Even so, low-budget economy on a Japanese airline is not bad.
