That's what I do each time I go for other stuff. Check clearance end cap and a few other Ryobi tool spots and go.

I wonder how people run into these deals. What do you do, do you walk around the whole store when you visit? The only time when I visit the store is when I need something, I just grab what I need and leave.

There's about 4 left ($70 each) at 97086 (locked in the cage). Good luck!

anybody know how low this or comparable starter kit would go if hacked during ryobi days? June is just around the corner.

These won't be around at that time. The new batteries will start higher (prior to discounts).

That being said, with the exception of crazy deals, this is very solid prices for real Ryobi batteries.

Having just bought an Impact Wrench, I've watched a number of youtube videos that test and plot the torque curve of impact wrenches and the battery type, capacity, and cell type make a big difference. For example, a 1.5Ah, non HP battery wouldn't take off a 129ftlb lug nut, however, a 4Ah non HP did. The videos I referenced show the P195 3Ah HP battery is about the best battery ever because it used a different cell type that none of the other batteries use. I think the new Edge batteries may start using those again. Then the 4Ah HP battery in this deal, or the larger 6Ah, 8Ah, or 12Ah batteries all made incremental differences over the 4Ah battery, but again, this is for a very high torque type application, or driving huge bolts into 4x4's. Suppose these 'better' batteries could help in fastening or cutting applications (circular saws, etc). Hope this helps...easy enough to youtube what I'm talking about!
I watched too and know high AH battery is not only about capacity but in some cases also deliver higher power, that's why I am curious if the high AH battery helps vacuum as well.

I thought about buying this for $99 for a few weeks now. Good thing I waited. Thanks for posting and saving me $30.

Brickseek showed stock in nearly all my nearby Home Depot. The first store I checked they were nowhere to be found, even though the rep looked it up and showed the location which was completely empty. The second store the rep gave me the location and it was correct. This doesn't show up at all on the website. If you have trouble finding it, ask a store rep to lookup 033287224944 in sku depot with their handheld. It will show the location and the price. I refreshed BS as soon as I left the store and quantity went down by 1.

I don't have a Ryobi vacuum, but just tested the 6Ah on my Ryobi compact blower which is my new favorite Ryobi tool. It's definitely stronger than when using my older 4Ah HP battery. I'll charge up the new 4Ah tomorrow and compare.

I have several of the older 4Ah and 3Ah batteries. Those seem to be better built as they have rubber overmolding over the bottom area which the new one lacks. The new ones also weighs a bit less. The new 4Ah weighs 2 ounces less than the old, and the new 6Ah weighs the same as the old 4Ah.

Oh wait, I do have a Ryobi wet/dry vac. I have too many Ryobi tools LMAO

Higher Ah in my weed whacker makes a difference, so I'm sure it will make a small difference in your vac

There were 4-5 left at the store in Milpitas, CA (94535) - locked in the cage in the front by some of the Packout toolboxes. None in Newark, CA (94560).

Went to HD after seeing this lower price and the batteries sitting there were still $98.

Update: Went back and they had 10 for $70. They weren't in the Clearance section, they were in a center island display.

If I had to go in there to grab one thing, I surely run to their clearance section to take a quick peak, then also go to the tool section to look at yellow labels. maybe 1/3 of the time I'll find something decent enough to consider. So it will take an extra 10 min of your time.....
Where is the clearance section located?
