It would definitely make it easier to insert and remove the bike rack from the receiver, but keep in mind that anti-seize is very sticky and difficult to remove from your skin and clothing and you would not want it anywhere you would be grabbing it with your hands. But apply it carefully and that would be a great application for it.
No I would not use that here. I would use Sil Glyde for the brake caliper slide pins.
Being in Virginia, I use this on nearly all my bolts - especially those that are exposed to the elements. Note that anytime you add lubricant to a bolt it can affect torque values. It's debatable but some apply anti-seize to spark plugs - if you do so I believe rule of thumb is reduce torque value by 30%.
It would but it is MESSY and you cannot get it out of fabric or carpet and it is difficult to wash off hands and skin. Even if you're careful with it it will get everywhere.
I would suggest a tea candle and rip out the wick from the bottom, like a hockey puck on ice go back and forth on the hitch on all 4 sides. Insert and repeat this a couple of times and you should be good for a year or so.
I tried just about everything before someone suggested this to me and it worked like a champ and doesn't make a mess when the hitch is out.
Great deal for this stuff though, I have a bottle from about 11 years ago, unless you use this everyday it will last most people a lifetime.

i Have a can of this that is easily 50 years old, my dad had it before I was born, that I inherited 20 years ago. Lost it for a while and bought one of these. Now I have both. It never goes bad and you will never use it up. A little goes a long way. Use it on any part of your brakes that move, use it where your rotors meet your hubs and your wheels meet your rotors. Use it on your hitch. Take your vise apart and clean the grease out and rebuild it with this stuff. It's rated for much higher clamping forces than grease. Amazing stuff and this can should last you a lifetime if you don't lose it.
Edit - the Mission silicone paste arrived, wasn't already half empty, and didn't leak all over the inside of the shipping package. Based on previous reviews, that's already a win. It is QUITE sticky, but that's what I was hoping for. I have a few spots that are hard to get to and I'm hoping a dab of this will save me as much future maintenance on those spots.
Further Edit - the Permatex stuff from this thread arrived, didn't spill all over the shipping package, and wasn't half-empty. So I guess I have my forever bottle of this stuff now. Buy with confidence!
As per the bottle, this is for metal to metal contact, and especially where there are two dissimilar metals in contact.
Not for use on rubber, because it may cause it to swell (especially automotive brake caliper pin rubber boots, etc).
Thanks, if i understand correctly my ceiling fans are metal to metal. Grabbing some since metal to metal is common enough.
Appreciate the helpful reply.

No problem. I grabbed this and a similar sized bottle of silicon paste. Figure between the 2, I've got metal lubrication and just about everything else for the next 10 years or so haha.
