Cool, I can fly to San Francisco and get my rental car broken into, and get the "authentic San Francisco experience"!

just for fun, i pulled up the low fare calendar for LAX to SFO during the promo period. this fare is only offered seven (7) days during the promo window. in fairness though, there are a handful of $37 fares so still pretty good.

Anyone else baffled on a 20min Uber ride being more expensive than these flight deals?

At first glance it's definitely jarring.

But then you may realize the flights are very rigid in date and time, and, to get these prices you need to book somewhat in advance. They're also taking a bunch of people at a time, and, they're also probably losing money on some of these and make it up other parts of the year (notice how sky high the prices are in the summer and around holidays?).

By comparison, an Uber ride is catered per the rider, from exactly where they want to start to exactly where they want to go. It's also just-in-time: they're shouldering a lot of risk by not knowing the demand ahead of time. Finally, I think they're no longer losing money on rides.

Yeah I was wondering that, it's been like that for the last couple of sales. I didn't know if it had to do with how SNA has the annual passenger cap
Yeah that was my guess too

Wow, I didn't know this. I just booked the tickets for my parents using my own credit card. The price came down like 20% with this deal, approximately $60. If I cancel their tickets now and book again with the code, I will leave $60 waiting in nowhere till I book another flight for them, right?
If booked within 24 hours, tickets are refunded into original form of payment. If cancellation is past the 24 hour period, amount of ticket will be credited under the ticket holder's name and does not expire. Fare difference can be credited - no need to cancel and re book. On the app or website, change the travel and choose the same itinerary (with the now lower fare) and the difference will be given as credit.

Thanks. So the difference will be credited under ticket holder's name as well.

Sigh. These sales never help. I was looking for a quick weekend trip to SF (from LA) and nothing is on sale.

Any way to check prices without selecting a destination? Just looking to go anywhere
