It's not surprising the price has been dropping, as Adorama is sitting on loads of this model in discontinued colors. I feel that Brown, Gray, Midnight Sapphire, Turquise and Walnut Stain will each be on sale in the not too distant future.
I couldn't resist ordering it for $208.05 and free shipping with the Adorama credit card. It's a Gretsch at Indio and Firefly prices.
I have the bigsby version of this, but wish I had gotten the more reliable tuning of the hard tail. The pickups are hot and has LP like tone. Best thing is the deep cutaways to reach those high frets easily. Hand positioning took a little getting used to in terms of referencing the 12th fret. Very nice guitar that required zero setup (for me, at least).

Never owned a gretsch before. Is it similar to a Epiphone es335?

Apologies, I was hoping to see if a few more people would chime in as well.

60 Cycle Hum did a demo on the version with the Bigsby a while back. I'm not sure what they may have changed in the last few years, but it sounds pretty darn good.

Do they ever price match the left handed guitars to the righty sales?

They've already been putting the other colors on sale. I picked up the Midnight Sapphire version of this same one for $229 a week before Christmas. Worth every penny and the Midnight Sapphire color is gorgeous in person. I'm mostly a rhythm guy, and this one sounds great. Ran it through a POD Go unit and it sounded awesome clean, gritty, heavy, delayed, verbed...no complaints there at all. I think in general the nut could use some graphite even on the non-Bigbsby model, as the B and high E strings felt "tight" to me. I had mine set up by a friend who cut the nut a bit lower and added some graphite and helped for sure.

I had a 5125 with the Bigsby - different electronics, but same feel I would think. No issues with the Bigsby, but as previously noted keep it slicked with graphite. Found that I hardly used it though. If I needed a trem, I'd go to a different guitar.
If I was buying (and the fact that I keep looking at these threads doesn't bode well for my continued six-string austerity), I'd go with the stoptail.

I don't have this specific guitar. But, I do have three guitars with Bigsbys on them (a Gibson ES-335, a Heritage H-535 and a Godin 5th Avenue Uptown T-Armond). None of them have tuning issues. The first two have well cut bone nuts and original Tune-o-matic saddles. The Godin has a Tusq nut and Tusk saddle (I got rid of that stupid roller bridge that came on it). You may just need to get better acquainted with your guitar.
