Boost Mobile does not advertise this deal online, but it's available in store.
My local Boost location sells Moto Edge+ 2023 (aka one of the best phones of the last year) for $279. And I've heard that some locations have it for $200. That's the price with the new line, but you can cancel next month. So not a contract

It's unclear to me when you can unlock it. 2022 version could be unlocked very easily with the code from eBay or by waiting for 6 months.

Right, but the phone is locked to the Boost network (for some period). Buying unlock codes on eBay seems pretty sketchy to me. Carriers usually have very specific unlock policies, and they don't include cracking into phones using unlock algorithms. I suspect you are probably in violation of the agreement you approved when you purchased the phone with the service plan.

Android 14 was released on this phone yesterday along with the January security update.

Please note that at any time you will be at least 2-4 months behind in security patches.

If timely security and OS patches are important to you, don't buy a Motorola Android phone.

Device is network locked until one full year of service with boost is paid for and completed.

I mean does doing an usb unlock service prevent security updates? I think that sort of bricks the phone.
