Since DJI came out with the Osmo action 3 (the action 1 and 2 were not good imo), I tried that (and now the oa4) and never looked back.
The example I always cite: imagine choreographing the most amazing fpv drone shot that requires a smaller camera, spending tons of time to nail the shot, and finally when you get it and land the fpv drone, the camera is off for no reason.
I don't trust GoPro for expensive and choreographed action shots. Why would anybody trust a GoPro with cherished family memories?
It least mine was.
Currently using it in the Philippines for the past 3 weeks without any issues.

That being said the Enduro battery should come standard. It was a game changer for me in both hot and cold. I'm not sure I encourage anyone to buy a gopro now or buy even more batteries but the Enduro batteries made mine at least somewhat usable.

DJI and the Insta360 appear to be good alternatives to consider with much of my current YouTube action feed being filled with Insta360 X3 footage. That seems to look a bit better than the GoPro stuff out today.
I sat it on a tripod and tried to record pickleball footage and it overheated.
I returned it.
