Steam does discount if you own parts of the bundle. My cost would be $32.85 and I own 1, 2, and pre-sequel already.

I'm really enjoying Borderlands 2 GOTY Edition, are the original and 3 a similarly enjoyable experience?

I know I'm being lazy but looking for opinions on differences between games.

I don't have experience aside the 1st game that I never finished although I own the others but I saw many review and many seem not to like the 3rd (Anoying antagonists is one) and point that the 2nd game was the pinacle of the franchise.

I have +1,000 hours in the series, I have some opinions. To me the beauty of the series is they can each be enjoyed for standalone reasons and while they iterate and improve (or attempt to) the sequels do not replace the previous entires. I've settled on Presequel as my favorite for the breakneck pace of the action and the super satisfying play style options of the characters. 2 I burned myself on too much as a teen, cannot go back to it but most people love it. 3....turn off the dialogue volume and just enjoy the slick gunplay. 1 is a gem of a game that none have really been able to reach the atmosphere and grit of that world, but it might be hard if you don't have a bit of nostalgia. But as a general tip they all hugely benefit from Reshade to modernize the graphics. I guess Wonderlands isn't included but I hugely preffered that to BL3, some really creative build options and better use of humor.

Thank you all! It'll run me about 40 to complete it and I've already got 40 hours into 2, I think I'll pull the trigger, seems to be a good dollar/hour of entertainment value.

The problem with borderlands is honestly, I grew up. But the game didn't. The person I was when the first game came out was a very different person from when the 3rd game came out. They kept catering to the same audience, but didn't acknowledge that there is a generational difference in humor now.
