It's a good deal on a per pound basis. But unless you're doing a significant amount of volume, this is going to start aging/degassing like 8-10 weeks into storage. And that's assuming they were roasted like 2 months ago which is about best case for Lavazza on Amazon. By the time you're digging into the last bags, you're likely looking at 4-6 month old beans which isn't ideal.
They are already sealed. I've bought this 6 pack twice and noticed no difference between the first and 6th bag storing at room temp. I've read differing opinions on freezing beans.
These are great for automatic machines. No oil to ruin them. My favorite bean.

Freeze the beans as soon as you get them. Even better if you can vacuum seal them.

These are never like fresh roasted beans but then you can't find fresh roasted beans anywhere for 5$/lb. I opened a month old bag and a year old bag and there is really no difference they are both like not fresh roasted but they were both fairly decent for what you paid and for coffee that you drink while working etc. Once opened, they get worse with in 2-3 weeks so that's the downside with 2lb bags but in our home we go through a bag in 2 weeks easily.

I use these in my espresso machines own grinder and then have a separate grinder for better fresher but more expensive coffee.

I got this deal last time it was posted, the beans were shipped directly from lavazza (not from an Amazon warehouse) and were six months old at the time of delivery
