I bought this coffee maker. I didn't like it. The carafe was quite large and glass seemed thin. To me it was just time till it cracked. Dealing with Cuisinart regarding warranty issues is less than desirable. They wanted me to send the pot back on my dime. Same applies to Bunn coffee makers. What is the point of having a warranty if it costs an extra 20 bucks for shipping. Most importantly, the coffee I made was terrible. Simply bad. I was using a Bunn Heat and Brew that made excellent coffee. However, those pots only lasted less than 2 years. I had the Cuisinart back in the box after 2 pots. Horrible. It is a good price for the pot and many believe it is highly rated. Just not my experience.

I recently bought a Bunn speed brew. Water is supposed to be 200 degrees when it hits the beans. Mine is 175 and coffee tastes bad. Love the feature of brewing a pot or cop almost instantly but the quality of cup is not there for me. I would buy the Bunn Heat and Brew again but they only last a couple of years. Then, you have to pay for postage to send it back. Plus, if Bunn replaces a coffee maker for you, your warranty becomes 1 year after you receive your replacement. Complete BS in my opinion. Your warranty should be at least 3 years from the original purchase. I am going to buy a Moccamaster. I am waiting for them to go on sale which they do. Many people claim they last a lifetime with proper maintenance. They are made in the Netherlands. They brew between 195-205-F almost instantly. The big issue is no timer and they are expensive. Hopefully, this coffee maker will solve my problems of coffee makers either producing bad tasting coffee or lasting just a year or two. Good luck on finding a machine.
