heck yeah, the 40% off S&S coupon is valid on a laundry list of tinned seafood stuff. I got a 12 pack of Brunswick golden smoked herring, as i'm overloaded on sardines and tuna

as with most coupons of this type, only one use per account - if you change your mind, you can cancel your order and the coupon usually becomes available again.

Yep, have the same experience -These are bit too slimy and super mushy, and I couldn't get over that. I decided to stay with Wild Planet.

These are sprats, not sardines. I know that the FDA lets these companies call these sardines but they aren't. Sprats are completely different fish from sardines

At least 3-4 years past the date stamp for quality sardines and white tuna, in my experience. Just ate some bumble bea white tuna dated 2014 and it was like brand new.

Many times the mushy "sardines" really aren't sardines. They are "sprats" or "brisling sardines". Sprats are more delicate and softer while sardines are firmer and also meatier. Both belong to the herring family. Sprats have more omega 3 and fat. Both are low in mercury. Overall sardines are healthier than sprats by stats but both are quite healthy.

You can't go wrong with either. It really comes down to taste and texture.
