Account activation is independent from phone shipment. Your account is activated the moment you sign up, before the phone even ships.

Just did a chat with online rep. Took around 30 mins , as they kept throwing me offers.. But finally cancelled it. No PIN was asked !! Got the email also and number doesn't show up on account.

Apparently, I have to pay the activation fee and one-month bill, which is about $65. Still a good price for me.

When you cancel through chat, make sure your account said canceled or something like that. My chat rep told me he canceled it, but it was still active. Basically he lied to me. I had to chat with a different rep to cancel it.

BB website shows ATT service active. If there is a label then one can assume the product is already boxed.

anyone else not get an account set-up email from att? ordered yesterday from BB for pick-up on 3/8. the only email I received from att was the 'please confirm your email address'. no other emails yet regarding account set-up. when should this email be expected, before it ships or after?

Don't you have to cancel within 3 days of account being active in order to avoid the activation fees and monthly service charges? When was your account activated? They might be intentionally delaying shipping to trap people into paying the activation fees and monthly service charges.

2 days passed, the status still shows:
"Preparing for Pickup on Thursday"

Is it b/c I used a expired Metro number to port-in?

I assumed it doesn't matter b/c it had passed the port-in screen and allowed me to place the order.

How can I know it's in good state?
