Still while the version 3 has serveral improvements over this one, I think that this is a good buy (the similar creator combo of version 3 goes for $670).
Recommended.

unless you only shot under sunshine. ver3 works much better in low light

The Pocket 2 performs admirably in low light conditions but both the Pocket 2 and Pocket 3 may struggle in bright sunlight. Pocket 2 with a fixed aperture of f1.8 allows more light compared to the Pocket 3's f2.0 aperture. Thus, both the Pocket 2 and Pocket 3 benefit from ND filters (sunglasses for the lens) when shooting in sunlight. However, the larger sensor on the Pocket 3, coupled with improved processing, helps compensate for the 1 stop diffference in aperture. Below is a sample image captured with the Pocket 2 at night.

Ymmv, but really disappointed in what I received. Not only does it look used and abused, it is also missing some accessories. I am returning.

Similar situation with me. The one I received has many prying marks at its body connections. And it's missing several accessories including the carrying case. Disappointed too. I wonder what their "open box" definition is, but this is certainly "used" than the usual "open box" condition.

Update: actually it seems broken - it quickly gets into "SD error" on two of my micro SD cards.

Huh, it's luck of the draw when the retailer does the refurbishing. This would probably be flawless if it was from DJI directly. Missing accessories is enough reason to return, but my experience has been that cameras are usually the best items to buy open box since they should still look and function as new.

I received mine with missing accessories too. Emailed them for a return and got this response.

Thank you for reaching out to us. We are extremely sorry for this inconvenience and confusion. Since this is an open-box item, some original packaging components may be missing.

Apparently their definition of open box is used.
