If you NEED the features this speaker brings to the table and just want a quick deal without thinking about it too much, yes, it is a well built option with good sound output and you could do far worse. As for myself, I've enjoyed the Xtreme lineup of speakers but ultimately sold all 3 of mine because I just couldn't justify keeping them with how good the competition is and the value so many other options bring. Some of this will come down to how you use your speaker and that's completely understandable. However, for the JBL fanboys that will inevitably respond to this comment with some snarky feedback; I'm sorry if this hurts your feelings and I'm glad you enjoy your speaker.
EDIT: Since people really just want to find things to complain about, here are a couple of my recommendations. After that, I'm happy to help people who actually want suggestions catered to their needs and everyone else can just keep finding something to complain about.
- Tribit StormBox Blast: ~$160
https://a.co/d/cfJppb9
- Soundcore Motion+: ~$70-$90
https://a.co/d/0UoZhof
- Harman Kardon Go+ Play 3: ~$130 (amazing deal currently here on Slickdeals and blows this JBL Xtreme 2 out of the water by way of sound quality)
- Tribit Stormbox Micro 2: ~$50
https://a.co/d/aNERFLb
- onn. Large Party Speaker Gen. 2: ~$120
https://www.walmart.com/ip/1212999628
Monoprice Soundstage 3 (portable): ~$200
https://www.monoprice.c
Monoprice Harmony Capsule 300 (if you can find them as they tend to go in and out of stock): ~$80
https://www.walmart.com/ip/837132319
Hopefully this very limited and still vague mishmash of random speakers I've enjoyed helps satisfy some folks. Any suggested speakers that cost more than the JBL Xtreme 2 on this deal are included because I believe they are better values for what you get. My opinion is not the end all, be all. I'm sharing in the hopes of helping others. Take that for what you will and best of luck.

Also, just picked up the Go Play 3 for $128 posted last week. Excellent speaker. Very close to output of my Exos-9 and much better treble/clarity. Although, the Go Play is meant to be mostly indoors and maybe a touch of poolside gatherings away from water.

Seriously, if you want a recommendation, I'm happy to help. Feel free to let me know what you are looking for out of your purchase and I'll try to give some recommendations. The fact of the matter is, my post was long winded enough without trying to cater to everyone's potential needs by listing out my own top 10 choices with justifications for each. If I had, I'm sure I would have just received a different snarky comment about the length of the post and how it was overly specific to me and my uses instead of being vague and generalized.
I gave my opinion in an attempt to help people, who may not otherwise know any different, realize there were other options available before pulling the trigger. You really want to criticize me for that, do your thing. You want suggestions, drop the sarcasm and just ask.
JBL charge 4 from Sam's for about $50-60 - for the price fair value
Samsung MX-STB50B from Woot for $90 - absolute steal of a value
Samsung MX-STB90B on sale for $300 absolutely love this speaker esp when connected to the 50B above
I like JBL a lot but for $150 I personally am looking to buy another Samsung when back on sale
There is that Harman Kardon on SD now for $120-130 which has good reviews for quality of music playback
I also bought a couple Bose refurbished at this extreme 2 price range on Bose and they are wonderful also - but for some reason the Samsung speakers esp with the dynamic lighting really adds to our enjoyment.
These are just my opinions and price ranges for reference
