I ended up going with the ST1521 ,which is the 15 split shaft at a discounted price of $199.99. Reason being that I read that the Line IQ has faulted many. Still a good price though.

Has anyone tried to return the free battery at Ace Hardware?

I have it in my cart and they list the free battery value at $179.99 but subtract the same to make it zero.

I got one from Lowes but the box was beat up and looks like it was a return. The dates on the unit and batteries are 2021. I'm going to return and look for a newer one.

Ordered the blower from Amazon was like that. Beaten up from inside and outside. The battery date is back in Jan 2023. Returing that as well.
I believe these are being shipped from some 3rd party.
